We have found a new home for the club!
Yes, you heard it right, we have a spot, and it looks like a dandy!
Starting September 30, we will be meeting every second Thursday, from 7:30 to 9:30, at the Golden Age Society, 4061 4th Avenue.
We are also looking at re-starting the Basic and Beginner Ukulele Group (BBUG) . If you are interested in participating in or in co-leading the BBUG, let us know.
There are chairs (yay!) but please bring your music stand if you have one and your Uke On Ukulele Club songbook. The cost will be the same as before, we are asking for a $5.00 donation.
Time will be a little tight and we're trying to stay organized and respect distancing, so if you want to bring new music, please bring 20 copies and give them to one of the leaders at the very start of the session.
Speaking of distancing and other COVID stuff- if we are to meet in person, we need everyone to be mindful and respectful of their own and each other's safety.
Singing has been identified as an activity with a higher risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus.
We are trying to do what we can to minimize the risk to everyone, so we ask everyone to please come either fully vaccinated, or to be masked.
The Club now has a corporate Zoom account and we are also working on ways to meet virtually. If you are interested in participating or helping in this, please send an email and let us know!
